As a
Palestinian born within the already established state of Israel,
Aissa Deebi finds himself part of a cultural and racial minority,
treated with suspicion and discriminated against. This sense of
displacement has encouraged Deebi to explore issues of identity,
dialogue, and exile. He works with constructive photography, video
art and manipulated computer images to convey the complexity of
his identity.
