The artist Karim Dabbah presents his
first solo exhibition at our Centre where he displays works made
in pottery and copper and they demonstrate impressions from the
local and Islamic traditions. The theme of the exhibition deals
with the current situation and most of the works are being
exhibited for the first time.
The following excerpt is what the artist has to share with us
about his exhibit…
"I have specialized in copper engraving and the art of medallions.
In the last few years, I have focused on graphic design, pottery
and Arabic calligraphy. Art, in addition to its academic
considerations, is a way of modernizing the roots and popular
symbols connected to the struggle against occupation, in order to
create a freer and prosperous existence…"
