Hazem Harb

was born in 1980 in Gaza City, Palestine.  A passion for experimentation and new ideas drove him to move to Europe in 2005, where he now lives and works. He has lived in Paris and studied between Palestine and Italy, where he enrolled first at the Academy of Fine Arts and then graduated in Visual Arts from the European Institute of Design in Rome. His work has been exhibited in a number of countries. He has recently exhibited at the National Ethnographic and Pre-historical Museum Luigi Pigorini in Rome and in the Museo delle Scritture in Bassiano, in Rome as well as in Paris, London, Munich, the United States, South Africa, and South Korea. He has won numerous awards and participated in residences in Palestine, Italy, Jordan, and France. While using a variety of techniques, his work deals with a number of core themes, including war, loss, trauma, human vulnerability and global instability. He continues to explore his own brand of multi-media, conceptual art using all the tools at his disposal.
