In Rana Bishara paintings elements from her environment—olive
trees, cactus, spices, henna and natural tar— are mixed with
ordinary painting materials such as oil and ink. Her work is
mainly Installation and conceptual art, dealing with her personal
and political identity. Bishara explores difficult issues such as
war, poverty, democratic rights, and her childhood in Palestine.
Through her work, she also expresses her longing for peace, love
and stability.
