Zaqzouq
He lived in Paris since 2007, where he is a student of Fine Arts
at the University of Paris VIII.
Shadi was born June 27, 1981 at Benghazy in Libya, a Gazan
mother and a father from a family of Palestinian refugees,
originally from Jaffa, and exiles in Cairo since 1948. After
studying in Cairo, his parents moved to Libya in the late 70s,
while Gaddafi encourages Palestinian intellectuals to come to
work and become teachers.
Very small, Shadi ... already painted on the walls of his room
and his school books. Residents of Al Kufrah even call for his
services to paint the walls the names of Allah, the face of
Yasser Arafat, Mickey Mouse or Ali Baba.
Her parents love of travel, he traveled as a child several Arab
countries, and visits every three years "vacation" in Gaza. In
this context he lives the first intifada.
Return to Gaza after the Oslo Accords, and as many Palestinians,
Shadi, his five brothers and his mother go to live in Gaza and
settled in the area south of the city, Zeitoun. His father must
wait at the border with Egypt for a year before they can join.
