favorite color back then was purple. it still is. she moved to
england to attend high school. it was there that she got seriously
involved with art and the two big no no's "religion and politics."
later, she moved to lebanon and attended the american university
of beirut. it was the same university that her father attended. it
was beirut that turned zena into a real woman. but after a while,
zena's mind began to wander and she began to think about what
artists in the west were thinking about. so she moved to new york
and completed her masters in fine arts at the school of visual
arts in 2002. she presently lives in nyc with chloe, the ghost of
her dead cat. she still likes to read a lot. she has a hard time
understanding why america doesn't use the metric system. she is a
taurus. her favorite artist in the whole wide world is george
maciunas. she one day hopes to return to lebanon where she can
teach art, live in the mountains and go to the beach all in the
same day.
